FCS Extension programs aim to improve the quality of individual and family life through education, research, and outreach.

What is Family & Consumer Sciences (FCS)?

FCS stands for Family and Consumer Sciences Extension. FCS programming focus on building assets of individuals and families to address problems faced across the lifespan. Family and Consumer Sciences Extension emphasizes well-being with a focus on human development, parenting, resource management, nutrition, health and leadership development.

At the community level, FCS Extension prepares individuals for community and economic development and activity. Professionals in Family and Consumer Sciences Extension provide the tools to help individuals and families to develop resources for strengthening families and building community for an ever changing society.

 

May 2023 FCS Announcement:

As of May 2023, our registration system has been updated! Please note that there may be some visual changes as you register for our classes and programs.

Also note that with the new registration updates, comes some policy changes. You will have 14 days from the date of your registration for a class/program to submit your electronic payment or provide your payment in office. If you are still in an unpaid status as of the 14th day, your registration will automatically be cancelled. If your registration is cancelled and there is a waiting list, that spot will be offered to the next person in line.

 

We also encourage you to review the below refund policy:

Refunds are provided up to 2 days (48 hours) before the event start date unless otherwise noted on the registration details. After that, no refunds are provided.

Inter-Agency Council

Inter-Agency Council is made up of representatives from a variety of agencies that join together to share programs and ideas to enhance and /or compliment each others work to prevent duplication.
