What Counts as VSU Hours?
The VSU program encourages you to document volunteer activities that benefit others without monetary compensation. Here are a few examples of activities that qualify:

Volunteering at community events or with nonprofit organizations.

Leading or assisting with Homemaker club meetings or projects.

Providing educational programs, teaching skills, or mentoring others.

Creating and donating handmade items like quilts or crafts for charity.

Administrative tasks or service hours for Cooperative Extension programs.

Serving on local community groups (HOA's, Rotary Club, etc.)

Providing an unpaid service to family, friends, or neighbors. This can include babysitting relatives (not living with you), taking a neighbor to the doctor or shopping, and so much more!

Church and faith-based participation such as choir member practice, Sunday School, and transporting church members.

How to Log Your Hours

Paper Option: A paper copy of the VSU tracking form is attached to this email. You can use this form to manually track your hours and submit them to the Extension Office.

Digital Option: If you prefer to log your hours online, please click HERE, login with your normal credentials, click "My Certifications" on the left, click "Add Certification", and start entering those hours!.
