Agriculture and Natural Resources program provides non-formal education in the areas of agricultural production, homeowner plantings, and natural resource utilization. Specific programs include information on food production, farm business management, marketing and processing agricultural products, natural resource management and home lawn and garden information. We address issues dealing with environmental stewardship, the rural-urban interface, and value-added enterprises.

The Laurel County Cattlemen’s Association will be accepting applications for the 2015 CAIP (County Agricultural Investment Program) cost-share program for two weeks, beginning on Monday, March 16, 2015, and continuing through Friday, March 27, 2015 at the Laurel County Extension Office.  Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8 AM until 4:30 PM.

March 6 Fruit Tree Pruning & Grafting Workshops

The Pruning and Grafting Workshops and rootstock order pickup at the Laurel County Extension Office have been rescheduled for Friday, March 6th. The Grafting Workshops are still at 10 AM and 6 PM and the Pruning Workshop will still be at 1:30 PM.
