Pruning & Grafting Workshops /  Rootstock Orders

The Laurel County Extension Office will be hosting its annual Pruning & Grafting Workshops on Thursday, March 3rd, 2016. Dr. John Strang from the University of Kentucky’s horticulture department will be conducting the workshop.

The pruning demonstration will start at 1:30 pm and the grafting demonstrations will be at 10 am & 6 pm. Light refreshments will be provided. For planning purposes, pre-registration is required.

To purchase fruit tree rootstock for grafting, please call our office to place your order! We have apple and pear rootstock available for $1.00 each. Please keep in mind that rootstock is not a tree itself; it must be grafted to scion wood before it can be planted.

To place your rootstock order, call 864-4167. Order pickup will be on March 3rd, 2016.
